The Old Fox Band

Bristol based folk and ceilidh band with extensive experience in performing traditional folk dance tunes and song. Band members recently have included Nigel Hall, Pete Thompson, Jill Elliot, Vanessa Moore and Chris Reid.

Tex Braithwaite & the Biryani Brothers

Spoof country & western outfit with a distinctly different approach to entertaining audiences. The band was started by Tex Braithwaite (aka Jerry Blythe) in the early 1990's along with the late Hank Grimsdale (Geoff Teague), Shane Arkwright (Arthur Brown), Mexico Joe (Roy Glover, now with the popular Weston-based band, The Fallen Apples), and Mark Steed (as himself).

Today's line up features various other alter-egos including Sly Pickin (Mick Hermelin) and Jumpin Jim Scadding who also appears regularly as a solo act and with the re-formed 70’s band 'Stretch'. Jim's solo album 'Early Mathematics' is available through Magenta Music.

Tex’s album ‘Gone but not Forgiven’ is also available through Magenta Music.

Mendip Morris Men

Much-loved Somerset based Morris troupe who perform regularly throughout the South West. The Mendip Morris Men feature musicians and dancers aged from 18 to 80 with an array of instruments to match. They also appear regularly in various countries throughout Europe and their album 'As Luck Will Have It' is available through Magenta Music.

88 Straight

Rock and blues band led by Jerry Blythe has had several incarnations over the years and has featured some of the best musicians in the West Country. The music is hugely entertaining rock and roll and blues and demands that audiences get up and dance! Their 2004 album (available through Magenta Music) was recorded live at Axbridge Town Hall.

Sophie King

Sophie is a young singer from Plymouth who has appeared regularly in the Somerset area. She sings classics, songs from the shows and standards and her first CD entitled simply 'Sophie Marie King' is available through Magenta Music.
